Guiding You Upward: A Personalized Path to Healing
My Approach: A Partnership in Healing for All Ages
Kallie Krawietz, LPC-S, Registered Play Therapist-Supervisor™. I am deeply committed to supporting individuals and families at every stage of life—children, teens, college students, young adults, parents, and caregivers. My practice is built on the belief that every person who enters therapy is unique, shaped by their experiences from childhood onward. Whether you are seeking support for yourself, your child, or your family, my first priority is to create a therapeutic relationship where you feel seen, valued, and safe. I know that authentic connection is the most powerful catalyst for growth and change.
A Lifespan Perspective
My expertise in child development enriches my work with adults, because the experiences we have as children shape how we relate to ourselves, others, and the world as we grow. By understanding the roots of emotional patterns, I help clients of all ages make sense of their past, heal from old wounds, and move forward with greater self-awareness and resilience.
An Integrative, Client-Led Approach
I do not believe in a one-size-fits-all formula. Instead, I meet you where you are, listening carefully and responding to your unique needs and goals. My work is informed by a wide range of evidence-based modalities—including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Adlerian Therapy, EMDR, Expressive Arts, Person-Centered Therapy, and Synergetic Play Therapy. I draw from these approaches flexibly, offering both gentle support and structured guidance, always honoring your pace and preferences.
How My Beliefs Translate Into Practice
The Power of Relationship
Grounded in the neuroscience of connection, I use my advanced training in Synergetic Play Therapy™ to help co-regulate the nervous system—whether with children, teens, or adults. For younger clients, this means creating a safe space to explore difficult feelings and integrate overwhelming experiences. For adults, it means building a genuine, authentic connection where you can learn to understand and manage your own emotional responses.
Specialized Tools for Healing
Some challenges require more than talk. I am trained in EMDR and am an EMDR Sandtray Specialist, which allows me to use targeted, brain-based tools to help clients of all ages reprocess “stuck” memories and beliefs in ways that feel gentle and empowering. My ability to be both directive and non-directive means I can adapt to what each client needs, whether that’s structure or space.
Collaboration with Families
and Caregivers
I see parents and caregivers as essential partners in the healing process. I work collaboratively with you, offering parent consultations, education, and strategies, or including you directly in sessions when it supports your child’s or family’s growth.
Continual Growth and Expertise
My commitment to providing the best possible care is unwavering. I am dedicated to lifelong learning and have pursued advanced training, including a post-master’s Education Specialist (Ed.S.) degree in Play Therapy from the University of Mississippi. This ensures that my passionate, client-centered approach is always supported by the highest level of expertise and the most current, evidence-based practices.
